The music is right, the bar is open, and two hundred people are standing in a polite circle waiting for permission. Party starters are that permission, professional dancers and hype performers who break the ice so your guests don't have to.

 

They don't take over the floor. They fill it.

What Party Starters Actually Do

Our party starters work the crowd, not the stage. They pull guests in, lead simple moves anyone can follow, and keep the energy climbing through the parts of the night that usually sag. When the floor is full, they blend into it.

 

Where they earn their keep:

• Wedding receptions. After dinner, before the floor fills. The most common request we get.

• Corporate parties and holiday events. Colleagues who've never danced together need a reason to start.

• Galas and fundraisers. Turning a seated formal room into a celebration without anyone feeling pushed.

• Bar and bat mitzvahs. Keeping teens and adults engaged in the same room, which is harder than it sounds.

• Festivals and brand activations. Building a crowd where there wasn't one.

Practical Notes

Party starters need a dance floor and a working relationship with whoever controls the music. We'll connect with your DJ or band in advance to agree on timing and cues, that conversation is the difference between an act that lands and one that fights the room.

 

Two artists is the sweet spot for most receptions. Larger rooms or multi-space events need three to four.

 

Artists arrive 90 minutes early for costume and makeup and need a private changing space. Sets run across the evening in intervals rather than one block, typically three to four hours total with breaks.
