What an LED Showgirl Performance Actually Is

LED showgirls are roaming or staged performers in illuminated costume: feathered headdresses, glowing bodices, light-up fans, and LED-trimmed trains that shift color in time with your event. They are part living sculpture, part hostess, part photo opportunity, and the single most photographed act we offer.

 

Think Vegas showroom glamour, scaled to your space and your theme.

 

Where they work best:

• Cocktail hours and receptions. Roaming performers keep energy up during the awkward first hour when guests are still finding each other.

• Grand entrances and reveals. Nothing frames a product launch, a couple's entrance, or a ribbon-cutting like two illuminated figures flanking the doorway.

• Galas and fundraisers. Showgirls greeting guests at the entry set the tone before anyone reaches their table.

• Corporate events and brand activations. We program costume lighting to your brand colors. Your logo palette, walking through the room.

• Festivals and night markets. After dark, LED costuming is visible from across a field. It pulls crowds toward your stage.

• Photo moments. Guests will queue. Plan for it.

Practical Details Your Venue Will Ask About

We would rather tell you this upfront than have it surface three days before your event.

 

Space: Showgirls need clear walking paths roughly four feet wide. Headdresses commonly reach seven to eight feet from the floor, so we confirm doorway and ceiling clearances in advance, particularly for tented events and historic venues.

 

Power: None required. LED costuming is battery-powered and runs three to four hours per charge. No cables, no trip hazards, no draw on your venue's circuits.

 

Lighting: LED costumes read best in dim or moderate lighting. In a fully lit ballroom, the effect softens considerably. We will work with your lighting designer to find the right levels, or recommend timing the act for after the room dims.

 

Setup: Artists arrive two hours before call time for costume assembly, hair, and makeup. We need a private changing space with a mirror, a chair, and access to a restroom.

 

Timing: Roaming sets typically run 30 to 45 minutes with breaks, up to three hours total. Longer bookings include a second look.

 

Outdoor events: Feathers and wind are not friends. For outdoor bookings we design weighted, streamlined costumes and always build a weather contingency into your event plan.
