Stilt walkers are the act that works anywhere. No rigging, no permits, no power, no perimeter. Just height, costume, and presence moving through your guests. Fluidity's stilt performers roam festivals, galas, weddings, parades, grand openings, and corporate events across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic.

 

When your space won't allow fire or aerial, this is what we recommend first.

 

The Acts

• Roaming stilt characters. Costumed performers moving through the crowd, greeting guests and posing for photos. Our most-booked format.

• Themed character stilts. Built to your story: garden creatures, circus ringmasters, Alice characters, showgirl daywear, holiday figures, brand mascots. If you can describe it, we can build it.

• Elegant and formal stilts. Floor-length gowns, muted palettes, and slow deliberate movement. For galas and weddings where the act should feel refined rather than playful.

• Stilt dancers. Choreographed movement on stilts, staged or roaming, often paired with music.

• LED stilts. Illuminated costuming for after-dark roaming. Visible across a dark field, which makes them a festival favorite.

• Parade and processional stilts. Built for distance walking, with costuming designed to read from a hundred feet away.

What Your Venue Should Know

• Clearance. Performers reach 9 to 10 feet in costume. We need doorway, ceiling, and chandelier clearances confirmed, especially in tented events, historic venues, and anywhere with low beams.

• Ground. Flat and firm is ideal: pavement, hardwood, packed dirt, short grass. Deep gravel, soft sand, thick mud, and steep slopes are hard stops

• Paths. Roughly four feet of clear walking width, with no cables, cords, or unexpected steps.

• Seating. Stilt walkers can't sit. We need a tall stool or a rail-height perch in a back-of-house area for their breaks.

• Weather. Wind above 20 mph is a stop for outdoor stilt work, particularly with wide costuming.

• Setup. Artists arrive 90 minutes early for costume, makeup, and stilt-up, and need a private changing space with a chair and a wall to brace against.

• Sets run 30 to 45 minutes with breaks, up to three hours total.
